Frequently Asked Questions & Answers about Circuit Breakers
Are you a trading company or a factory?
We are a professional circuit breaker manufacturer, focusing on the R&D and production of high-low voltage circuit breakers and residual current circuit breakers for 7 years.
Can you produce circuit breakers according to our designs?
Yes, we provide OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) and ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) services. We can customize exclusive circuit breakers based on customers' electrical parameters, appearance dimensions, functional requirements, and other specifications.
Can I get a sample to test the quality of the circuit breaker?
Yes, free samples are available. You only need to bear the sample shipping cost, which will be refunded in your bulk order.
What is your MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) for circuit breakers?
- Standard-spec circuit breakers: 200 units
- Customized-spec circuit breakers: Determined through negotiation based on specific customization requirements, usually no less than 600 units
- Customized-spec circuit breakers: Determined through negotiation based on specific customization requirements, usually no less than 600 units
How long is the production lead time for circuit breakers?
- For standard-spec circuit breakers, the production lead time is usually 30 days.
- For customized-spec or large-volume orders, the lead time will be adjusted according to production complexity and order quantity, generally 30-35 days.
- For customized-spec or large-volume orders, the lead time will be adjusted according to production complexity and order quantity, generally 30-35 days.
Will the heat generated by the circuit breaker during operation increase the temperature of the distribution box or the surrounding environment?
No. Our circuit breakers adopt low-loss conductive materials and optimized heat dissipation structure design, so their self-heating during operation is much lower than industry standards. Meanwhile, a reasonable safety distance is reserved between the circuit breaker and the inner wall of the distribution box as well as other electrical components. Combined with the ventilation design of the distribution box, it can effectively prevent abnormal temperature rise in the environment and will not affect the normal operation of surrounding equipment.
Will the circuit breaker produce noise during switching on/off or fault tripping?
No. Our circuit breakers are equipped with silent operating mechanisms. The mechanical collision noise during switching on/off is controlled below 30 decibels (equivalent to the volume of a soft conversation). During fault tripping, the internal tripping structure operates stably without sharp noise, meeting the noise requirements of civil and industrial places.
Can circuit breakers effectively prevent safety hazards caused by circuit leakage or short circuits?
Yes. Our circuit breakers have 100% leakage or short-circuit protection function and can trip quickly within 0.1 seconds. At the same time, all circuit breakers have passed the short-circuit current withstand test and can reliably cut off short-circuit faults to ensure circuit safety.
After the circuit breaker is installed, is it safe to perform daily operations (such as switching on/off and inspection) and is there a risk of electric shock?
It is safe and there is no risk of electric shock. Our circuit breakers adopt fully enclosed insulated casings, with the insulation level of the casing reaching IP20 (for civil use) or IP40 (for industrial use), which can effectively isolate internal live parts. The operating handle is made of flame-retardant insulating material, ensuring personal safety even when operated in humid environments.
Will the metal parts of the circuit breaker rust or have poor contact after long-term use?
No. The internal conductive parts of the circuit breaker are made of high-purity red copper and undergo nickel-plating anti-corrosion treatment. The terminal blocks are made of anti-oxidation alloy materials, which can effectively resist the erosion of environmental factors such as humidity and dust, and will not rust or have poor contact even after long-term use.
Can your circuit breakers be installed in environments below 0 meters above sea level (such as underground garages and mines)?
Our standard-type circuit breakers are suitable for an altitude range of 0-2000 meters. If installation is required in environments below 0 meters above sea level (such as underground environments), customized low-altitude moisture-proof circuit breakers must be selected. Installing standard-type circuit breakers in high-humidity underground environments may affect insulation performance and increase the risk of faults.
Which types of circuits or scenarios are suitable for installing your circuit breakers?
Our circuit breakers have a wide range of applicable scenarios, including lighting circuits and power circuits in civil buildings (homes, office buildings), motor control circuits and equipment power supply circuits in industrial plants, as well as DC circuits in the new energy field (photovoltaics, energy storage). However, it is necessary to select the corresponding circuit breaker model according to the circuit's voltage level (AC 220V/380V, DC 12V/24V, etc.), current specification and protection requirements.
Is it necessary to check the voltage and current parameters of the circuit before installing the circuit breaker?
Yes, it is necessary to check the voltage, current parameters and load type of the circuit first. Because the selection of the circuit breaker must be strictly matched with the rated voltage and rated current of the circuit (for example, an AC 230V specification circuit breaker should be selected for a 220V civil circuit, and a circuit breaker with a rated current of 16A or below should be selected for a 10A load). If the parameters do not match, the circuit breaker may fail to provide normal protection or trip frequently by mistake.
What is the warranty period for your circuit breakers?
- The warranty period for our standard-spec circuit breakers is 1 year.
- For industrial-grade high-voltage circuit breakers and customized special-function circuit breakers, the warranty period can be extended to 2 years. For quality problems caused by non-human factors during the warranty period, free replacement or repair is provided.
- For industrial-grade high-voltage circuit breakers and customized special-function circuit breakers, the warranty period can be extended to 2 years. For quality problems caused by non-human factors during the warranty period, free replacement or repair is provided.
Will the operating handle of the circuit breaker become loose or fall off after repeated long-term operations?
No. The operating handle of our circuit breaker adopts a dual-fixation structure of "embedded buckle + metal pin". After more than 10,000 on-off fatigue tests, the handle can still remain stable without loosening or falling off, ensuring reliable long-term operation.
Are there any precautions to take when installing circuit breakers?
There are 3 core precautions: 1. When wiring, distinguish between the live wire (L), neutral wire (N) and ground wire (PE). Reverse connection or missing connection is strictly prohibited. Especially for residual current circuit breakers, reverse connection of the neutral wire will cause the protection function to fail. 2. Tighten the terminal blocks to avoid heating caused by poor contact. 3. When installing multiple circuit breakers side by side, keep a distance of no less than 5mm between adjacent circuit breakers to ensure good heat dissipation and prevent performance impact due to overheating.
